The Four-Signal Framework
Signal 1: Deal Age by Stage
Every stage in your pipeline has a historical average time-to-progress. If you don't know yours, pull your last 12 months of closed deals and calculate it. That's your baseline.
A deal sitting at 1.5x the average stage duration is a yellow flag. At 2x, it's red. The rep's confidence level is irrelevant — the data doesn't negotiate.
